Course Description
This course will be examined under the headings of the fundamental concepts, institutions, practices, and outcomes of economic thought.

Course Objectives
The aim of the course is to explain the development of 'Economic Thought' from Ancient Greece to the present, to establish a foundation for contemporary economic issues and measures by considering the economic developments throughout history, and to develop the ability to approach each thought and period under review with a critical perspective.
Course Outcomes
1. Recognizes the historical development process of economic thought.
2. Recognizes the conditions under which economic thoughts emerged.
3. Recognizes the economic approaches of ancient philosophers.
4. Learns the economic thought movements of the East and West before the modern era.
5. Learns the economic thought movements before the industrial revolution in the modern era.
6. Learns the economic thought movements after the industrial revolution in the modern era.
