SUI students take it as a departmental elective, other programs can take the course as faculty or university elective.
The course is taught with an interdisciplinary approach under four main sections. The first section will focus on the global perspective and provide a historical background. In the second section, the reasons behind international conflicts, how they change, and the conflict spectrum will be explained. The third section will cover traditional approaches to conflict resolution. Finally, the methods and approaches that have come to the forefront in the twenty-first century will be examined in detail.

Week 3: Mediation of international conflicts resolution of international conflicts, mediation approaches, factors that effect mediation, mediaton strategies
Week 4: Arbitration in international conflicts, judiciary and international law,
Week 5: International Conflicts, International organizations and conflict resolution, UN methods in conflict resolution, Peacekeeping.
